A 17th-century masterpiece, the Vaux-le-Vicomte Castle combines the perfect harmony of French architecture, gardens, and lifestyle.

Commissioned by Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV's powerful superintendent of finances, Vaux-le-Vicomte was designed by a trio of geniuses: architect Louis le Vau, painter Charles Le Brun, and landscape architect André Le Nôtre. This ambitious project directly inspired the king to build the Palace of Versailles.

With its richly decorated salons, iconic dome offering panoramic views, and French gardens covering 33 hectares, the estate embodies the refinement and grandeur of the Grand Siècle.
