Champagnes Route

Épernay & Hautvillers

🏛️ A bit of history:

The historic birthplace of champagne, the Champagne Route takes you to the heart of an exceptional heritage, among hillsides, prestigious cellars, and authentic villages.

In Épernay, the capital of champagne, the Avenue de Champagne proudly lines up the majestic residences of great houses such as Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouët, and Pol Roger, beneath which stretch more than 110 kilometers of cellars dug into the chalk. This underground treasure houses millions of bottles slowly aging, sheltered from the light.

Not far from there, perched on the heights, Hautvillers charms with its peaceful atmosphere and flower-filled streets. It was here that Dom Pérignon, a 17th-century Benedictine monk, perfected the art of blending and gave birth to champagne as we know it today.

Combining nature, history, and expertise, this excursion is available as an unmissable experience for discovering the history of champagne, UNESCO-listed landscapes, and visiting the region's iconic cellars.
