🏛️ A bit of history:

A masterpiece of French classicism, the Palace of Versailles was the official residence of the French kings Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI. A symbol of absolute monarchy, it embodies power, refinement and the French art of living.

The transformation of the castle, originally the hunting lodge of Louis XII, began in 1661 under Louis XIV, who transformed it into a sumptuous palace. He mobilized the greatest artists of his time: architect Louis Le Vau, painter Charles Le Brun and gardener André Le Nôtre. Together, they created a unique estate, blending art, architecture and nature.

The Galeries des Glaces, the Grands Appartements, the formal gardens and the Domaine de Trianon still bear witness to the grandeur of the Sun King. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, Versailles attracts over 7 million visitors a year from all over the world to admire this jewel of French history.

🚗 8:00 am - 9:00 am: Departure: Hotel - Versailles

Take the road to one of the most beautiful jewels of French heritage, located about an hour from Paris.

🏰 9:00 am - 11:00 am: Tour of the Palace

Admire the sumptuous Grand Apartments, the famous Hall of Mirrors, and the iconic rooms that have marked the history of France. An audio guide or guided tour can enrich this immersion.

🍀11:00 am - 12:30 pm: Tour of the gardens & Musical Fountains (if offered)

After visiting the castle, treat yourself to a stroll in the fresh air in the perfectly symmetrical French gardens.

🚗 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Return: Versailles - Hotel

Return to the hotel in complete tranquillity to rest after a morning rich in discovery.

💡Tips:

Book your visit in advance on the official website.

Choose the Palace Ticket if you only wish to visit the Castle. The Gardens are included in this ticket only at certain times of the year.

Check the calendar for the Musical Gardens and Musical Fountains: the fountains are only in operation on certain days.

Choose the Passport if you want to visit the entire estate (Palace, Trianon, Gardens, Carriage Gallery). You will need to allow a whole day if you choose this ticket.
