Climbing to the top of the Eiffel Tower
Paris' ultimate icon — a must-see once in a lifetime.
🕰️ A bit of history!
An iconic symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 World’s Fair, celebrating the centennial of the French Revolution.
Designed by engineer Gustave Eiffel, construction began on January 26, 1887, and was completed on March 31, 1889 — a record time of 2 years, 2 months, and 5 days.
Over 300 workers assembled more than 18,000 metal parts to erect a structure standing 324 meters tall (including the antenna). At the time, it was the tallest man-made structure in the world, a record it held until 1930.
Today, with over 6 million visitors annually, it is the most visited paid monument in the world.

ℹ️ How to visit?
The Eiffel Tower is open daily from 9:30 AM to 11:00 PM. You can access the various levels by elevator or by stairs. For a more immersive experience — and to reduce waiting times — we recommend taking the stairs.
We highly advise booking your ticket in advance to save time upon arrival. Prices vary depending on age and access method (stairs or elevator).
Please note that the Eiffel Tower does not have a cloakroom. We recommend traveling light and staying alert for pickpockets.
If tickets are sold out, you can still access the tower by reserving a table at one of its two restaurants.
⏱️ How long it takes?
We recommend taking your time to fully enjoy the experience. In general, plan to spend between 1.5 to 2 hours for your visit.
🌇 Best time to visit?
The best time to climb the Eiffel Tower is at sunset. You'll enjoy panoramic views of Paris in daylight, witness a stunning sunset, and then watch the city gradually light up — a truly magical experience.
